after enjoying breakfast not in bed (because we'd ordered too much), le hubby and i went sunnin' in sardinia for one last time. le hubby and i are really going to miss this charming beach. inspired by the suckling pig entree he enjoyed last night, i made him this italian sand pig. le hubby built a wall and moat to protect my lil' oinkster. farewell, porto cervo! i don't think i've EVER felt so relaxed in my life...

Sunnin' in Sardinia

hi mom! hi dad! le cub and i are in sardinia's porto cervo. it is, apparently, where celebrities, billionaires, and residents of burbank go to chillax. enjoying our time as wastes of space. we wake, we eat, we poop, we sleep. all on the beach. having a Magnificent (yes, with a capital "M") time...

Fat and Happy

tomorrow is our final day in rome... then we're off to fancy-shmancy porto cervo on the island of sardinia. we depart from the ancient city fat and happy. le cub and i both kinda forgot that we'd be sporting swim trunks and bikinis during the rest of our vacay. here's hoping our lovely pasta and gelato-filled bodies don't cause our ferry to sink...

High Time

...that i wear a watch.

i stopped wearing watches long ago, but i'd start again for this one. la medor by hermes is perfection. not only is this watch g-g-gorgeous and discrete (the center watch face is covered), it has a sense of humor. ("medor" is the nickname the french give a dog.)i'd long been hoping to land one in black... and what do you know? the hotel at which we're staying at in rome is conveniently situated a hop-skip away from hermes. and guess what's in the window? oh wait, guess what WAS in the window?

my one big euro purchase has been made. and le cub approves.

Dunzo

Le cub and I have finished planning our extravagant honeymoon to Rome, Sardinia (Costa Smeralda), the Amalfi Coast (Sorrento, Positano, Ravello), and more Rome. We can't friggin' wait.

And ooh, we "invested" in an iPad for our lil' trip. SO MUCH FUN!!!

Roman Holiday

Le cub and I have been really slow to plan our honeymoon to Italy, but we've finally begun! Airfare has been booked as have our accommodations in Rome. Check out the uber-cute boutique hotel we'll be staying at while ROMEing (It's RIGHT next to the Spanish Steps!): Mario De' Fiori 37

Now for transport to Amalfi, Sicily and Sardinia...

This is going to be fun.

Where to?

Le cub and I have decided upon our honeymoon destination. Well, not exactly. We've decided upon the country. In contention were Greece, Croatia and Italy. We ultimately decided to follow our stomachs... to ITALY! We've both been there before (me, four times), but there's so much more to see. I've never been to the Amalfi Coast... nor have I been to Sardinia. That said, I'm hoping one of the two spots will be appearing on our itinerary!

Oh The Places We'll Go

Le cub and I have yet to choose a honeymoon destination. And we're taking suggestions! Santorini, Greece is looking pretty sweet.
