Vacation

Proust has said that "People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad." I agree and like the thought of that.

I feel that way about my mom too. Even though she is still alive, a part of her I once knew and loved is gone but she still visits me in pure health and beauty in my dreams. The only way anything lives is through our thought and experience of it, death never really has the finality we expect it to.

Love Love.

it's like that cheesy line from iron giant about souls never dying. i'd like to believe that's true. and everybody has a soul... well, everybody good.
