Ordered Maira Kalman's illustrated memoir, "The Principles of Uncertainty" a while back and just recently began reading, er, admiring it. She's a mad genius, that Maira. Experience life through her strange-in-a-really-good-way psyche HERE. She paints, photographs and writes, and I can't help but lap her wildly-original goodness up. Yes, like a dog. Gosh, I bet she'd be fun to hang out and devour a cheeseburger with. A deluxe one, no less.
